Storm McGinnis is perhaps one of the most versatile performers in Colorado. Performing hits from a wide range of artists such as Frank Sinatra, Garth Brooks, The Temptations, Usher, and Pit Bull, audiences immediately recognize he loves to perform. The world first heard Storm’s voice as a child singing the popular Coca Cola jingle on radio commercials and since then thousands have seen him perform on the Las Vegas strip and the main entertainer for Mandalay Bay. In 2013 he decided to help found and develop what is quickly becoming one of the most sought after groups in the Rocky Mountains, The Syndicate Band.
Callie Belo has been singing since she was a young girl, and has been singing professionally with AXS Group for nearly 5 years. The local singer/songwriter from Denver, Colorado, has musical roots in jazz, soul, and r&b. Callie has been singing with local Denver band, “Syndicate” for 3 years, and just started her own funk band project, “Cosmic Girl,” in May of 2014. Callie co-wrote and was featured on a single with local EDM act “Bass Physics,” and is always looking to expand and create with local producers and artists. Callie just released her first single entitled “September Sun” on Soundcloud in December 2014.
Originally from Erie, PA, vocalist Karen Jeffreys is a diverse musician with more than 15 years of experience fronting her own band. Beginning early, she studied classical voice with Rebecca Ryan of the D’Angelo School of Music. After years of performing at the nationally recognized Youtheater at the Erie Playhouse, Karen moved on as lead vocalist for the international tour of Up With People. Karen started fronting her own band in 2000 with “Starfish” funking it out playing clubs, festivals and weddings in northwestern PA for more than five years. That exposure lead her to becoming lead vocalist for Erie favorite Dave Stephens Big Band. DSBB highlights include headlining the “Chautauqua Institute Summer Concert Series” and “8 Great Tuesdays.”
Robert Lahman, the youngest and perhaps the most naturally talented member of Syndicate, was born to play music. The son of two trained musicians, Robert grew up playing music in the church throughout various countries in Europe and later honed his skills studying Jazz at Denver’s Lamont School of Music. As an original member of Syndicate, Robert strives to make Syndicate the premier show group in the country.
Angel Rivera, the music director for Syndicate, has had the opportunity to share the stage with musicians from Mary Wilson (The Supremes), Kenny Loggins, James Brown, Rolls Royce, The Emotions, The Gap Band and Tower Of Power. A Native of Puerto Rico and a proud Senior Non-Commisioned Officer of the US Air Force, he has studied and mastered the genres of Salsa, Merengue and Latin Jazz.
Nate Marsh is proud to play electric bass with Syndicate, teach music lessons, and freelance all over Colorado. His thorough and diverse training in music enables him to switch from funky Motown to progressive rock to jazz standards, musical theater, and everything in between. Nate grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Boston to complete a Performance degree at the Berklee College of Music. While working for Holland America Line, he and his bass visited over 30 countries and performed for cruise guests every single day. Nate has also toured with indie rock singer Claes Cem and pop tenor Pasquale Esposito.
Nic Thornsberry is a native of Colorado with over 15 years of performing experience. In 2007 Nic was awarded a scholarship to the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music where he studied under the direction of Lynn Baker and Mike Marlier. Upon leaving Lamont, Nic spent two years at sea with Holland America Cruise Line where he traveled to 40+ countries and performed nightly with artists from all over the world. Nic strives to be a dynamic and versatile drummer, while providing a strong backbeat to keep people dancing all night long.
